Process
Leasing a home
with The Jander Group usually follows these steps:

determine which of our available rental homes meet your needs. You will see that our
inventory contains rental homes in various locations, varying prices, and all Jander Group homes
are non-smoking within the home.
Drive by our
Homes
Using the handy
directions found on our website, drive by the home or homes you are
interested in to determine if they are, in fact, in the area and of
the type you desire.
Call our office and view your Home
Call one of our
property supervisors to tell us of your interest and to arrange a personal
viewing of the home you have selected. Our property supervisor will
coordinate a showing with the existing residents and arrange a mutually
agreeable time to meet you at the home so that you can view the interior
and decide for sure that it is the home for you.
Complete a Rental Application
All adult prospective
residents will need to complete and sign one of our standard rental
applications. (Married couples only may share the same application).
There is a rental application fee of forty-five dollars ($45) per application,
which is due at the time of application submission. Acceptable means of
payment for the application is either check, money-order, or a certified
check made out to: The Jander Group. A holding deposit
(usually equal to one month's rent) is also due at the time you decide
you want us to take the home off the rental market and refrain from
showing it to other prospective residents. When your application is
approved and you sign a lease, the holding deposit will transfer to
your security deposit.
** The application fee and deposit need
to be 2 separate checks. **
If, for some reason, your rental application
is not approved, your holding deposit will be returned to you. If, however,
your application is approved but you decide that you do not want to
rent the home after all, your holding deposit will be forfeited for
the benefit of the owner of the home in compensation for taking the
home off the rental market.
Your application
will be checked in at least the following areas: 1) We will run
a standard retail credit check to determine how you pay your bills in
general; 2) we will run a rental verification to determine how
you have met your rental obligations in particular; 3) we will
verify your employment information; and 4) we will run a background
criminal check.
Please Note: Jander Group homes are not authorized to accept Section 8 Housing.
Sign Your Lease
Once you have been approved we will draft your lease agreement and forward
it to you for your execution.
